Is there a web page where I can monitor the new/old bugs
and issues related to SQL Server & Analysis Services, SP's
e.t.c ?

http://www.aspfaq.com/2160 (anything past 8.00.760 is most likely a bug fix
that deals with at least one symptom).
As for a general list of all bugs, no, Microsoft does not publish this
information.

Bug on PDF output?

PDF report has every other page blank. I don't know if this is a
configuration problem or it's a bug. I hope it's not a bug. Please advice.
ThanksDon't fret, it is a feature. Ensure that the width of the body (the white
area) plus the sums of the width of the left and right margins are less than
or equal to the width in the PageSize property of the report (the camel?
color area).

Bug in vstudio SP6

Hi
Since I installed vstudio SP6 all my Sql Server diagrams only show a blank
page
Any fixes?I have confirmed this bug on four different machines. Unfortunately, I
can't seem to find a non-paid bug support form on the MS Support site any
longer (since I no longer work for a gold partner).
What I can add is that you can still look at diagrams on your local sql
server. You can also look at the diagram in Visual Studio.Net in a database
project. My advice is that if you are not using .Net and VSS BOTH, do NOT
apply this service pack as it appears to largely be for .Net integration.

Do you have a particular bug ID for this? I haven't been able to track down
a bug ID for this issue.
If you have no bug ID, would you kindly post the steps to reproduce this
problem. I will gladly file a bug for this and request for a fix.

Browser time out: when executing a DTS package

Hello All,
I am am having a strange problem. I am trying to execute a DTS package
from VB .NET (.aspx) page. The DTS package takes 21 minutes to execute.
When the aspx page sends a command to MS SQL server to execute this DTS
package it starts executing. After 8 minutes the .aspx page shows error
"Cannot Find Server" and errors out with a white screen. The
inetresting thing is the DTS package is still being executed in backend
and completes execution successfully.
I have no clue why this is happening because there are other DTS
packages that I am executing through the same .aspx page that takes
about 3 minutes to complete execution and are working absolutely fine.
By the way I have a stored procedure wrapper over every DTS package. So
when i have to execute a DTS package I execute a stored which inturn
executes a DTS package.

the stored procedure) has a timeout property. When the timeout value is
reached the web page times out.
Can you increase the timeout for that one database call?

not work right.

Breaking of Sub Report?

Hi All,

I have created a Report that include 10 other sub reports. The problem is that if there is not enough space for that sub report on the page, it goes to the next page. Also, if the content of sub report is huge, it removes the page header details so that it can fit into one page.

Is there any way that the sub report breaks on its own and there is no wastage of space? I guess that will solve my problem of page header details as well.

If anyone has worked on such issue, please let me know.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to create appointment reminder letters, and at the bottom
of the first page of each letter I need the clinic contact information
(phone number and name). Immediately prior to this I must list various
instructions regarding what to bring, what to eat/not eat beforehand,
etc.
Regardless of the length of the list of instructions I still need the
clinic contact information to render at the bottom of the 1st page of
every letter, even if the list of instructions has to continue on to
page 2.
When I create a table footer it only appears on the 1st page of the 1st
child's letter, while the other several hundred letters get no footer.
(surely this can be done in one .PDF instead of a subscription to
create several hundred separate .PDFs?)
Here's what I need for each child:
|Page 1|
<Patient address, etc.>
<Schedule of appointments for the day>
<List of instructions>
<Clinic CONTACT INFO> <--bottom of 1st page of EVERY letter
|Page 1|
|Page 2|
<any remaining items from the list of instructions above>

Arkansas Children's HospitalPut the information in the Page footer and set the page footer properties to
only print on the first page.
If you have multiple items in the footer--some for page 1 and some for page
2, you will have to set the visibility in a formula.

Break on Running Total

I am trying to create Packing List(s) based on an individual sales order.

Each Packing List page must be based upon the number of square feet.

I have set up a detail line with
Pieces, Width, Length and a running total of square feet (Pieces*width*length)

When the Running Total Square Feet > 400 then I need to go to a new page and reset the Running Total Square Feet and continue to print the remaining detail, until it again reaches 400 square feet.

I'm close, but I am having trouble. Can anyone help?

Note: Its MAS 90, if that makes a difference.What did you try and what problem are you facing?

I am passing my report parameter descriptions from an .aspx page to one
report parameter (concatenated) using url access. It works great except when
the description contains brackets "()" the url get confused on the first "("
and I get an invalid path.
Any ideas?It was Friday when I wrote the original thread, It is actually an "&" that is

Bottom half of Page Not Found

I have RS2k on SQL2k for several months with no issues, all users can access
reports for which they have been granted access.
I have one new user lately that has not been able to access a report that he
has been granted access to.
He clicks the link to the report server http://servername.domain.com/reports
and gets directed to the Home folder where he can see the report folder he
needs.
Then he clicks the folder icon so that he is at .../HisRptFolder/ and sees
the two linked reports that his user group has been granted access to. When
he clicks the hyperlink to either of these two reports, the header fo the
site (that has the breadcrumb bar) is still viewable, but the part of the
page that would normally show the "report is generating" message does not
appear and instead he gets a 'Page Not Found' error.
I have tried granting access to his username specifically, but no success.
I have looked at the web.config file but did not make any changes
(Impersonate is set to true, but no username or password is specified which
should cause the logged on user credentials to pass through.)
No other users are having this issue.
The reports are linked to reports in another folder which he does not have
access to.
Any suggestions?
